Shantae is the titular character from the popular video game series by WayForward Technologies. She is an anthropomorphic half-genie who uses her magical abilities to protect Scuttle Town from various villains. This tutorial will show you how to draw Shantae.

Step 1:
Draw a circle for the head
Step 2:
From the left side of the circle start drawing the face.
Step 3:
From the jaw area, start drawing two lines opposite of each other for the neck. Make them thin as women typically have thinner necks.
Step 4:
Draw a circle below the right side of the neck for the shoulder and draw a curved line for the spine starting from the left side of the neck.
Step 5:
Starting from the circle we drew, draw a curved line about 3/4 of the way down and then curve it back up toward the spine. This will be our rib cage.
Step 6:
From the bottom of the right rib cage, draw the waist. After that, draw a curved line leading back up to the end of the spine and do the same for the opposite side.
Step 7:
From the left side of her spine, start drawing her butt. Make two curved lines representing the butt and then on the right side, draw the hips and the upper thigh.
Step 8:
From the circle we drew earlier, start drawing two curved lines on opposite sides and combine them towards the bottom for our upper arm. Do the same on the other side of the body.
Step 9:
Now we draw her forearm. Make sure to draw her elbows.
Step 10:
Draw her chest area next. Start by drawing a semi-straight line starting from the circle we drew earlier for the shoulder, and then as you make your way down, you curve the line almost like a half circle towards the arm.
Also, draw another shoulder blade to the left of her back.
Step 11:
Erase all of the rough lines and clean up the sketch.
Step 12:
Now we start drawing the face. Draw two lines across the face and one line going down the face. These will be our guidelines as to where we should put the eyes, nose, and mouth.
Step 13:
Draw two ovals for the eyes.
Step 14:
Now, draw the eyelashes. After you draw them, fill them in.
Step 15:
Now, draw her eyeballs. After you do that, darken the middle of them to indicate where her pupils are at.
Step 16:
Now, draw the eyebrows above her eyes.
Step 17:
Now draw the nose. It’s relatively close to the right eye.
Step 18:
Below the nose, start drawing the lips. Start out drawing the mouth first, and then draw a line for the upper lip and a curved line for the lower lip.
Step 19:
Now draw the ears. They are long and pointy.
Step 20:
Now let’s draw the hair. Start drawing from the top, and slowly make your way down.
Step 21:
Now we draw the hair in the back of her head.
Step 22:
Draw the tiara.
Step 23:
Now draw her signature long ponytail.
Step 24:
Erase part of her left eye that’s covered by her hair. Draw the necklace and the vest she wears.
Step 25:
Draw her gauntlets and her signature genie pants.
