It follows Cid Kagenou who is Chuuni, which is a character trait just like tsundere used in Japanese media used to describe early teens who have delusions of grandeur and have convinced themselves they have hidden knowledge or secret powers.

The Eminence in Shadow is a Japanese light novel series written by Daisuke Aizawa. It started as a web novel which later was picked by Kadokawa to publish as a light novel with illustrations drawn by Touzai. The series so far has inspired a manga adaptation and a chibi side-story manga.
